Mfg flaw causes lid to leak grinds and coffee, big mess.Major mfg flaw causes huge mess. It's great tasting coffee and I really enjoy this flavor. I had put on a subscription order, constant stream of brew! But... Unfortunately, the quality control seems inadequate. After the first batch, I've been receiving coffee k-cups where the top foil doesn't stay glued down during brewing and the coffee with grinds flows out of the side. Runs all over the edge, with grounds mixed in. I was hoping it was a bad box one off, but seems like the failure mode occurs across boxes. I've been seeing maybe 3 out of 10 bad, and the mess as a result is a pain to clean up as the grinds fill the brew head so the next cup is polluted.So recommend try a different brand. Or maybe bed bath & beyond again, those never seemed to have issues. I've attached a picture of a spent k-cup that popped its top.1Old stock on clearance, Pods explode!First, I LOVE this coffee and have been drinking it for years. It is by far the most flavorful Kcup out there and I will continue to purchase it...just NOT in the 108 count size. I made this mistake once before and vowed I'd never buy this quantity again but I got suckered in because of the price and bought it again. In my opinion, this is OLD stock that is thrown together and packaged in one big box then shipped loose, that way. There is no information on the plain white box detailing its contents, grind or package date much less a picture of Emerils big ole head. Using them is like Russian roulette. The foil can get blown open from the sides causing coffee grounds to enter your brew...and everywhere else for that matter. It makes a real mess of your brewer and the coffee tastes stale. To finish them up I use a small strainer over the top of my cup to keep most of the grinds out but my advice is to buy this coffee only in the 24 pack, logo'd boxes, in any quantity from there but DO NOT BUY THE 108 ct box, you'll hate it!1The loose lid issue has been resolvedThe loose lid issue has been resolved. I noticed that the top review for this product was complaining about the terrible manufacturing problem they had last year in 2017. I also experienced that , but it was eventually resolved and now the lids are tight and the pods perform normally. I responded to the original complaint, but figured I'd also post a separate comment noting that. This coffee is great and I'm sorry it's not available on subscribe-and-save anymore.5Bad batch?We usually love this coffee but this time there was something very "off" about it. Expiration date was 2 months away so maybe it was just old. We couldn't even drink it. Didn't have that nice smooth rich taste we were used to with this one. I find that buying coffee off Amazon is really hit an miss. Maybe it just doesn't move that well in storage. It's convenient so we usually give it a try but not sure..this might be it this time. IT's a shame because it's' probably not the coffee that's bad but the storage or the expiration really doesn't last as long as it says. To my surprise, these look identical to the original but my newer Keurig will not accept them. I've tried five individual k-cups and the machine has rejected them all. I have an old Keurig that I drug out and presto...coffee, but very, very bitter and old tasting. I will not order from this particular company again.1absolute favorite coffeeI really like a good, strong tasting coffee, and have been through just about all of them I can find in K-cups. Some have been as appealing as Emeril's at the start, but start tasting "off" or something after a while - I'm not sure if it's lack of consistency in beans used or what. But Emeril's has really stood out as being consistently very good, and I feel that's I'll always get a great cup with it.5FAULTY K-CUPSI order this coffee constantly but there is something wrong with this last batch. I ordered 4 boxes of 24 and of the one box I've opened I've had at least 10 k-cups faulty and it throws grounds and coffee around. I put in a different brand of coffee and it works fine. I have 2 other Keurig machines and I've done the same experiment with the same results. I'm sorry to have to use a review but I tried to contact the seller direct and it wouldn't let me.1My "go to" brandThe "right" coffee is a matter of very individual taste. Multiple things affect that taste, including, among many others, the way the coffee is made; the water; the water temperature; the amount of coffee used; the grind; and the coffee itself (which includes itself many factors--origin, storage, age, roasting etc). Keurig's generally do not deliver a huge amount of boiling hot water and rely on packaging with an internal filter and pressure. After many years of trying different brands of K-cups, this is simply the one, "go to" brand that does it for me. It is bold, but not strong or burnt; has depth and a very pleasant after taste; can even sustain its taste if you make a 10 ounce instead of 8 ounce cup. Taste good black or with a small amount of heavy cream and sugar. My personal recommendation for what it is worth.5Good, but NOT great - try it yourself.We have had the Keurig for about a year now, and have tried a variety of coffee - in search of one we could count on for breakfast everyday. We tried Dark Magic, Starbucks House Blend, Columbia, Starbucks Verona, Starbucks Veranda, Emeril's Big Easy,(this one), and a few others I really can't remember - I think they came in the starter pack (Costco). We have TWO Platinum Keurig's, one in NYC and one in Florida.I've read lots of reviews, both on Amazon and independent sites. My conclusion is: Although the reviews give you 'some' idea of the taste/brew, you have to try it yourself to determine your satisfaction. I happen to drink my morning coffee with a 'touch' of half & half, NO sugar or sugar substitute. I have an average of 2 cups in the morning, when NOT pressed for time.Results for Big Easy, to date: I did NOT like the Emeril's (this version) it was strong but had an edge that I did not like. My favorite so far is Dark Magic, strong and smooth. But, after my initial 100 cups of Dark Magic, I was dismayed to find out the new packaging (I had the original green label) was changed along with the coffee content (although Keurig denies it) to the brown label. Some folks indicated a change in coffee flavor and strength with the new label/content. I don't have first hand knowledge of any change in flavor yet, I'll probably buy some to test.My wife and I are split: she likes the Starbucks Verona (not Veranda) and I've tried it with good taste results, but it's pricey. Next I'm going to try Newman's Fair Trade Special blend - it says it's medium/dark coffee, and is strong but smooth, but it's NOT indicated as EXTRA BOLD (read: extra coffee in the pod) - I'll be the judge of the taste!!!BTW: as for Decaf - after 6PM I go for the Decafs. I found Dark Magic Decaf and Newman's to be my favorite. Newman's a little less jittery for that late night coffee.4
