Wonderful!I use this as a supplement but I bought it especially to make vitamin C serum. It's only been a week of using my homemade serum & my skin is already showing results. My pores have shrunk 80% & my skin had a healthy glow. I make a 4 oz batch that I refrigerate & use twice a day all over my body.Love, love, LOVE!! 5Love the Non gmo I make liposomal with this and ...Love the Non gmo I make liposomal with this and at 15 grams and a little more at times daily it stopped nerve pain the electrifying numbing spinal injury pain so yes I will purchase this again. It has quite the energy kick at times as well! Good quality!5Good but not on empty stomachI love the texture, it s made in the USA, non gmo.It really doesn t have a flavor. It s more of an after taste of biting a lemon but without the lemon flavor if that makes sense? I really like it and will most likely buy it again though it should last me a while. I will tell you do not be a dummy like me and take it Oman empty stomach. I just opened my package after running around all day and exhausted without eating since the morning, but I thought it would help boost my energy by morning if I took it right before I went to sleep. Huge mistake. Since I didn t eat after I took it. The taste that was left in my mouth was that of throw up after burping. What I mean is the acid taste and burn since I haven t eaten all day. Bottom line is to eat before taking it and you should be fine. All in all it s pretty good the texture Bri g my favorite part.Update: I ve been using this for about a week and I thought if I took it with food it wouldn t upset my stomach, but it does. It s much too acidy. I eat, way an hour and the. The scoop of C and it s just makes me belch acid as well as make me nauseous . I really wanted to like it, but there s no way. I gave it a week and the same result every day no matter when I took it. I don t have a weak stomach. So the acid level must just be too high.4Stop wasting money on overpriced vitamin C and get this American-made ascorbic acid!Until recently, I had been buying my ascorbic acid in bulk from Trader Joe's. When they stopped selling it, I had to search for a new source, and I'm glad I came across this brand. Nutricost is made in the USA and tastes, looks, and dissolves the same as the other brand I'd been using. It comes with a little scoop, which is very convenient. Best part is that the price is a much better value than what I'd been paying previously. I'm really satisfied with this vitamin C and I plan to reorder it when I've used up the container (which is huge, so I expect it will take a few years!) If you found this helpful, consider letting me know. And if you have any questions, I'm happy to try to help.5In the past it used to be fine powder which is what made the product so goodThey've changed the formulation to crystalline powder which does not dissolve well and tastes more bitter. In the past it used to be fine powder which is what made the product so good. The crystalline structure vitamin C is not as desirable and it's a shame they didn't keep it to fine powder.3So glad I found this, it's GREAT!This stuff is GREAT! Just a tiny little scoop that holds 1,000mg (1 gram) of Vitamin C. I put 4 level scoops of it in our glasses of iced tea, it gives a lemony flavor. Warning though, it's really sour, so for my tea I add sugar to taste to counter it, my husband likes it without the extra sugar. My uncle, a doctor, has taken 10,000+mg (10+ grams) of Vitamin C a day for years. It's a water soluble vitamin, so any extra C is eliminated through your urine, which is very good for your kidneys.Vitamin C is touted by experts as a miracle vitamin that can help fix all sorts of physical problems, but the tablets can be a pain. If you're a Vitamin C nut like I have become (since having serious kidney problems), drinking it in your drinks (including not just tea but any drink you choose) is a pleasant alternative to taking those bulky tablets or chewing the lozenges multiple times a day. I highly recommend this powdered version and am really happy I found it! This is my 2nd order, and I plan to keep on ordering it, I never want to run out. LOLSome have asked if this is L-ascorbic acid, so I hunted down the manufacturer's site, this is what they say:Nutricost Vitamin C - Nutricost.com https://www.nutricost.com/products/75/vitamin-c"Vitamin C, or L-ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble essential vitamin. It is a very popular dietary supplement due to its antioxidant properties, safety, and low price."From a Google search I have found that Nutricost is listed as a reliable producer of high-quality supplements with an excellent reputation. No, Nutricost didn't pay me for this review or give me any product for a discount or free, I just LOVE the stuff, so had to emote. 5Is a good product for Revitalizing Aging SkinI bought this product because I was searching for a Vit C powder without GMO. My Dermatologist suggested I make a Vit. C serum for damage skin on my face & chest. I've had very good results. I returned to my Dr. after using it only 2 1/2 months & she saw remarkable changes/healing. She wanted me to up it a little for my nose but the rest of my face & my chest had dramatic healthy skin changes. I did not expect to find these changes at my age. I highly recommend this if you want to make a Vit. C serum for rejuvenating your skin & heal or prevent aging skin issues.5Ascorbic acid is not organic Vitamin C. Consuming synthetic products can be harmful.Unfortunately, while this does appear to be a great purchase, considering it offers 907 servings per one 2 lb. container, don't be fooled by these vitamin brands. Ascorbic acid is synthetic vitamin C. Excess amounts of fake substances like these can potentially cause the body to produce fewer white blood cells. I recommend purchasing a vitamin C supplement that was made via whole foods. For example, acerola cherries, broccoli, and kiwis are high in this vitamin. Some natural vitamin C supplements here on Amazon are derived from natural whole foods. However, they are rare in comparison because it costs more money for vitamin distributors to manufacture organic, complete vitamins. 200 milligrams of organic vitamin C that has not been tampered with is much more beneficial to the immune system than 2,000 milligrams of ascorbic acid. Published from North Coast, The Winter 2009 edition of Wise Traditions conducted three studies, which presented their research on individuals consuming large doses of synthetic vitamin C. The first study (from the Jun 15, 2001 issue of Science) showed that synthetic vitamin C may contribute to the formation of genotoxins that can lead to cancer. A second study presented to the American Heart Association showed a link between consumption of only 500 milligrams of fake vitamin C per day and a greater propensity toward thickening of the arteries (Los Angeles Times, March 3, 2000). If those are interested, there is another article titled "Whole Food Vitamins: Ascorbic Acid is not Vitamin C" that offers a lot of this research and basic information that is concealed from consumers. From this aforementioned Whole Foods article, organic vitamin C must contain ascorbic acid, rutin, bioflavonoids, Factor K, Factor J, Factor P, tyrosinase, ascorbinogen, and other components all at once. Whether companies advertise their product supplement containing either fractured, synthetic, or of a crystalline vitamin C substance, it's still an incomplete vitamin. Therefore, it is fake, and this is entirely misleading to the general public. No matter what, it will not have the same effect on the body. If you want to know how powerful organic vitamin C is, understand that this organic vitamin can cure scurvy, while ascorbic acid alone will not. Over years of large consumption, ascorbic acid is actually toxic to the body. Most of this information was retrieved from Dr. Aaron Chapa.1If you need high doses of vitamin cI used this product to get high doses of vitamin c for health issues. IVs cost something like 125 per shot, and may have 14,000 or so mg per infusion. I have lyme disease, and the general medical community hardly seems to want to help most of the sufferers of this disease. I've read about getting high vitamin c shots benefiting many conditions, so I got this, and dissolved 14 scoops in warmed purified water, and added some 99% pure dmso. DMSO is an organic solvent that undiluted, will replace the water in skin cells and can cause burns from the heat exchange if not diluted with water. I know that makes it available to the blood stream, and bypasses the GI tract. This seemed to work great!5Great price for pool owners.Great price for pool owners, less than HALF what the pool shop costs. When we purchased our house it came with a salt water pool. Having never owned a salt water pool, I didn't realize that the generator didn't work properly at low (~55 degrees F) temperatures, so over the winter my chlorine level went very low - leading to a black and mustard algae problem. Compounding my mistake I took the pool shop's advice and bought a copper based algaecide. (Don't do this ... Search "Pool SLAM" for a much better technique) This certainly worked for the algae - but it created another HUGE problem - staining all the white surfaces in the pool.I still had some residual staining on my plastic pool eyeballs, so I pulled them out and let them soak overnight in a bowl with some Vit C. The same thing you see here will happen to the rest of your pool. Of course this only works on metal stains.Continuing to research it, I found out that a metal removal combined with Vit C will re-dissolve the copper and pull it out of the water. Here's how:1) lower your chlorine level to < 1 (.5 or lower if you can get it there)2) lower your ph to around 6.8 - this helps re-dissolve the metals3) Pour in the Vit C and let the pump run for a few days. I had to do this twice the staining was so bad. Watch for algae blooms if you take more than a couple of days with low chlorine.4) Raise the pool level up to shock level (5 or so) and monitor the chlorine level. The remaining Vit C will consume the chlorine, so you'll have to work on getting it to stay up.5) Clean your filter.Be happy!5
