THIS IS THE BEST & MOST GENTLE!If you cant stand the terrible chalkiness of the mint flavored MOM, like me, then this cherry flavor is for you. It is more finely mixed like a kefir drink. It is smooth with no grit whatsoever. It does NOT cause the horrible painful stop you in your tracks, wake you from your sleep, cramping. It does NOT cause nausea. You must drink ONE to TWO glasses of water with full dose for it to work best. I HAVE NEUROGENIC COLON. My colon has very little movement. I have to rely on laxtives to initiate bowel emptying. THIS magnesium product is SAFE. It does NOT cause Melanosis coli like Senna lacatives do!THIS and very strong probiotics from OPTIMA are what I use. I would choose this product for children as well, as it has been around a long time and it is safe. IF YOU USE THIS WEEKLY, I WOULD HAVE YOUR DR. MONITOR YOUR MAGNESIUM LEVELS BY TESTING BLOOD MAGNESIUM ONCE MONTHLY, just to be safe. Try it! It WILL work for you! Linzess, Restasis (injection) , Movantix and other harsh rx did NOT work for me, but MOM did. That says a LOT!5Dependable and GentleI have used drug type laxatives for years. For me, they tended to be harsh and either didn't work or it was like diarrhea. Sometimes I felt a burning senasation.A year ago, I had been constipated for almost a week. I tried some glycerin suppositories, Ex-Lax, and a Fleet enema with no results. Then one day it clicked that I remembered my grandmother used Phillips. I was reluctant to try because it looked like the antacid Mylanta and associated that with yucky and chalky tasting, but I wasn't having any luck so I bought some Phillips wild cherry flavor.Surprise #1: It wasn't chalky and actually tasted good. Not sure I would say it tasted like cherries, but it was a cherry-like and very pleasant flavor.Surprise #2: It worked really well. Got things moving with no diarrhea effect. Been using it ever since.Unlike a pill, you can learn to adjust your dose to get an effective gentle effect. It's a lot easier to take a small swig at bedtime than it is to split a small mini laxative pill (impossible really) when you just need a little help. I'll never use anything else.5UNMOVED...LITERALLYThis product is very expensive and it did not deliver. Equate is very good. Works right away. I would really like a refund for this product but I opened it and tried it only to be disappointed and I did not think I could return it.1There is reason to like Milk of Magnesia. But be aware. It may give you the gift of RUNNY bowel movements.Wish I could give it 3.5 stars. Because there is reason to like it. It is true. Milk of Magnesia does not give me cramps gas or bloating. I have used it three times so far. Each time it produces a RUNNY bowel movement within a 3-6 hour window. Followed by more of the same for roughly 20-24 hours.If I had anywhere I needed to be within the next 24 hours I would not take Milk of Magnesia.So what do I like about Milk of Magnesia? Milk of Magnesia does not cause me to gain water weight and it works faster than MiraLAX. Other than that. I like MiraLAX better in every way. For me, MiraLAX can take overnight and occasionally longer. With it I do not get gassy bloated or cramping. And no need to run to the bathroom. An added bonus is that even if I was unable to have a bowel movement for weeks before taking MiraLAX. I become regular for 3-6 days after the first bowel movement.Sounds perfect right? So why would I look for another laxative? Every time I take MiraLAX I gain 4+lbs. I know it's just water weight. But it takes a week or more to lose it. Not only that. But I have been on a diet for a little over six months with regular weigh ins. On average I lose 4-7lbs per week every week. Except weeks in which I have taken MiraLAX. And even though it's only water weight. I do not see a big weight loss the following week. Thus far I have not had the same experience with Milk of Magnesia. I really wish Milk of Magnesia did not give me the runs. If MiraLAX did not cause me to gain weight I would say it was perfect. However at this point. I think I will be sticking with Milk of Magnesia until I get a lot closer to my goal weight.3It will make your bowels move, quiver and shake!Man oh man. This stuff works, but be forewarned. It might work too well.I bought this because I had faced the dreaded C word. Yep. You guessed it. Constipation. And if you re reading this, you are too and contemplating about buying this product. Here s my experience. I bought this out of desperation of being backed up for 5 days. Sure I had maybe two bowel movements but I really had to strain and was rewarded with rabbit pellet poop. I took 15 ML out of trepidation of not wanting to overdose like some of the other reviewers on here. Then after an hour, another 15 ML. Five hours later...nothing. Ok, so I decided to take 30 ML before bed and let it do its thing. Mind you 60 ML is the max dose per day. The next morning, I was hoping for movement. Ha! Nothing. Zilch. My stomach did gurgle which seemed like maybe it was getting ready to work? So on an empty stomach, I said YOLO and took 60 ML chased with a whole jug of water. A whole grain avocado toast and coffee later, lo and behold had my first movement. Five hours later, another BM. Five hours after that, man oh man. I felt like I pooped forever. And that crap burned. I am not joking, fire felt like it was coming out of my ass.So moral of the story is: start small with the dose and give it time (however mine took two max doses over a course of 22 hours to jumpstart). Also, I will probably switch over to a MOM that does not have sodium hypochlorite (an ingredient in bleach...hence the burning poos). So if you have read my longwinded review this far, thank you. It gets the job done. There was no cramping just as promised along with a cheap at-home colonic but the stomach gurgling and burning poos was the price I paid. Good luck and next time around, focus on how to improve your gut health to avoid the dreaded C word. I know I will!4Works well and tastes better than licking a chalkboardIt tastes better than chalkboard chalk dust. Makes it much more palatable with the added cherry flavor. It does the job both as a laxative that is gentle yet effective, and it makes a good antacid..just have to be careful.3So happy I ve found thisDoesn t taste bad like I had thought it would. I drink orange juice to chase it because I m worried it will make me gag but it never does. Milk of magnesia is waaaay better and more comfortable than the laxative pills I used to take. Those would make me sick all day and sometimes it would take me a couple days to recover. I love milk of magnesia because it makes go to the bathroom one or two times, not runny, just a healthy normal bowel. When I m feeling bloated or uncomfortable I know I need to take this and it really helps. I will never go back to laxative pills. I am definitely going to purchase again5Tastes greatI only buy Philips brand because it works well and the cheaper brands have more additives. The cherry flavor tastes great and isn t chalky tasting. Highly recommend5Works great to unclog the pipesThis is Liquid Draino for your intestines. I use this when I know I will be near a toilet the next day. Its a very effective solution to a full clog. It makes your colon absorb lots of water. That makes clogs move. Take a little for an easy flow. Take more for a mud slide. You will feel so much better afterword.5Five StarsThe only product out there for constipation that does NOT cause abdominal pain.5
